INSTALLING MAC OS X IN WINDOWS XP
Reminder:- u need several tools for the processes:-
- WINRAR (extracting tool)
- NERO 7 burning tool
1) Open your web browser (better if you use safari 3) and go to google.
2) Type in "pear pc" and click search.
3) Click on the 1st link that comes up.
4) Go to the "Downloads" link on the left side of the website.
5) Click on the 3rd link down named "pearpc-0.4-win32-jitc.zip".
6) After downloaded PearPc, extract all of the files to a location on your hard drive.
Name the folder "PEARPC".
7) For your next download go to the link http://ppccp.sphosting.com/index.htm to
download the pearpc control panel.
8) Go to the download Binary at the end of the page (1.9MB).
9) Install the program.
10) Now go back to the PearPC homepage "http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/downloads.html"
11) Go to "Downloads" section again.
12) Scroll down and download the "6GB Image File".
13) Save that in ur hard drive.
14) Open the "PearPc Control" panel you downloaded earlier.
15) Click on the "New Configuration File" button.
16) Click "Continue" at the bottom.
17) Select the icon for your operating system. (dont worry it wont corrupt your os)
18) Click browse at the top.
19) Locate where you extracted your PearPc download earlier. Select the file named
"ppc" with the blue pear icon.
20) Locate 6GB image from PearPc earlier. Down at the bottom of the windows where it
says file types, switch it to all files, and select your 6GB image you downloaded.
21) Then down by the memory settings. Move the slider to the maximum.
22) Click continue
23) Dont click "next". Just minimize it.
24) Pop Mac OS X DVD in disk drive open Nero.
25) In Nero, select copy and backup.
26) Click copy DVD.
27) Select your Drive in the top window and in the bottom, select image recoreder.
28) Click copy DVD.
29) Save the image somewhere in your hard drive.
30) Open back the PearPc window u minimized earlier (23)
31) Choose 1024x768x32 in the video resolution.
32) Check the box that says full screen on startup.
33) Keep all the settings same
34) Click finish and name ur OS (Mac OS X Tiger).
35) Check the box that says CD-ROM device is installed. Then go to browse and locate
the image file you made of your Mac OS X DVD.
36) Go to file types, at bottom select "All Files". Find your image and double click
it.
37) Double click your configuration icon and a window will pop up and Mac OS X
installation will begin. Enjoy after the installation is completed.

HOW TO MAKE DUAL BOOT BETWEEN WINDOWS XP AND MAC OS X
CAUTION:- I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF U LOSE UR DATAS.BE SURE TO BACKUP
UR DATAS BEFORE DOING THIS STEPS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. DO THIS ON
OWN RISK.
Before doing this steps you need to perpare several things first. The things are listed below.
- A decent size hard drive (more than 160GB will be better)
- Windows XP installed cpu
- Mac OS X install DVD
- Acronis Disk Creator Suite 10 (ADCS10)
Before installing MAC OS X, u need to do some other things first. U need to create partitions in your hard drive.The steps are given below.
- Lets say we are using a 160GB hard drive (hdd).How will you do partitioning? Using
XP cd? Of course not. We cannot use the windows XP cd to create partitions because
have to delete the existing partitions before creating a new one and this takes a
longer time because we need to install windows all over again. So,we need to do it
while running windows. How? See below.
1) Install ADCS10.
2) Reboot your computer by pressing "yes" at the end of the installation.
3) After reboot launch ADCS10.
4) Choose "manual mode".
5) We need to make 3 partitions (each for Windows XP,Mac OS X and file sharing)
- Total space in hdd is 160GB
- Windows XP = 60GB NTFS
- Mac OS X = 60GB FAT32
- Shared = 40GB FAT32
6) Now create partitions using ADCS10 if ur happy with the partition sizes.Make sure
that both Mac OS X abd shared are FAT32.Also make sure that Mac OS X partition is
yellow.
7) Congratulations!Now you have three partitions.Before installing Mac OS X, install
Acronis OS selector (AOSS).It will allow us to pick which operating system to boot
into,once we have Mac OS X installed.
8) Reboot your computer by pressing "yes" after the installation. After reboot, a
screen will pop-up and ask you which operating system to use (of course windows xp
since u havent installed Mac OS X yet).
- Now the moment you have been waiting has arrived. Its time for installing the
Mac OS X. After this things might get a little confusing so be careful.You need to
make sure that you Mac OS X install DVD is properly patched to work on a PC with either intel or AMD processor. Your CPU must support at least SSE2.SSE3 would be
better. For this briefing, im going to use AMD but not much different between AMD and
intel processors. Im using the AMD patch on the install DVD.You can use a sofware
called EVEREST to check wheter ur processor has SSE2 or SSE3. Now to install
Mac OS X,follow the steps given.
1) Insert the Mac OS X install DVD in the DVD-ROM drive and reboot the computer.
2) Then enter bios by pressing "f2" or "delete" button. Set ur DVD-drive as a primary
booting device. Safe and exit.
3) The PC reboots again and press any key to boot from DVD-ROM drive.
4) Now install the Mac OS X in the other partition (60GB FAT32).
5) Its just quick and not like Windows XP or any other windows.
6) After Mac OS X is finally installed, you can drag the DVD icon to the trash to eject
it from your DVD-ROM drive.
7) Now go back to WIndows XP.
- Now u have dual-boot with Windows XP and Mac OS X.Lets say if u want to get rid of
Mac OS X partition,the shared partition and AOSS. How can you do it? Ill show you.
Just follow these steps.
1) Restart your PC.
2) AOSS will pop-up and ask u to select an operating system.Just delete Mac OS X
from the list and run the AOSS uninstalling wizard.
3) Now you will be directly go into Windows XP without AOSS pop-up.
4) Next,you have to delete Mac OS X and shared partitions.So,launch ADCS10.
5) Delete the Mac OS X and Shared partition and you will have free space.
6) Now you have to add the free space back into Windows XP partition.
7) Hehe.Now ur PC back to the level it was before.Like you never happened.
- Well we have come to an end. This is a untested guide of making a dual booting hdd.
Im giving this warning again. Do this at your own risk. Have fun with the dual boot

CHANGING WINDOWS XP TO LOOK LIKE MAC OS X
1) Go to http://www.flyakiteosx.com/ and go to the section called downloads.
2) Download the FlyakiteOSX latest version (version 3)
3) Open the file and run it.
4) Follow all of the steps that it says and restart your computer.
5) Now it should look like Mac OS X

Everything was running fine in my system. Im using XP service pack 3. But when i uninstalled the software, my internet explorer was gone. Thats all. I reinstalled it. Thats the only damage it did to my system.
